As above with experience gained working in a marketing department or an agency data analytics and insight team. In most cases knowledge of SAS/SPSS, (CHAID), SQL, Business Objects, Access, advanced Excel type packages is required. Plus experience of regression analysis, clustering, data segmentation, profiling and modelling, good report writing and presentation capabilities. An appreciation of the impact of data in a commercial/marketing environment and the ability to communicate data in a commercially meaningful manner to clients/colleagues of varying levels of data literacy is a definite nice to have.
